Keep Climbing

This time last year, I was in limbo land. I had just left Miami at the beginning of August and was spending the month traveling to visit friends and staying with my family in Maryland. My move to New York was my top priority, and I was determined to figure everything out despite my parent’s opposition. They couldn’t imagine why I would want to move from sunny Florida to the Concrete Jungle. Yet, here I am and could not be more proud of the person I have become this past year. Miami was a good pregame, but New York has forced me to boss up in so many ways. They say that if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere in the world.

At 26 years old, I can tell you from experience that if you don’t look your own fears in the eyes, you will stay stagnant and scared until you do. I have spent the past few months pondering the execution of my brand and I have been at a standstill. I am now committing to showing up every single day to share the lessons that I have learned and continue to learn along the way of my entrepreneurial journey. From what I have observed, people love to tell their success stories after they have reached the mountain top. For myself, I am still finding the pathway up and want anyone who is in my shoes to feel like they aren’t alone. Keep climbing and don’t look back.
