2. How to Turn Your Setbacks Into Success
Do you ever have one of those days where you really want to throw in the towel, but you keep going because you know that you still need to be a functioning human? For me, today was one of those days.
I woke up ready to seize the morning after starting 100 Days of Success, and then Ms. Universe decided to throw a wrench in my plans to be productive and essentially told me to take a seat. I felt ill for the majority of the afternoon, the time that I had planned to work on my content, and allowed myself to rest instead. After a much-needed power nap, which is extremely underrated in my opinion, I bounced back and enjoyed my evening reenergized and in good company.
A win is a win.
Although sometimes I want to believe that I’m invincible, it’s moments like today that remind me that I’m not immune to feeling like I just want to lay in bed and hide from the world. It happens, and it doesn’t have to be a self-imposed death sentence. Your willingness to take care of yourself and listen to your body shows how resilient you are as a human, and reminds us that we are capable of going from 0 to 100, just as we are 100 to 0.
With any form of success, there will come a setback…maybe even 5. How else are you supposed to become a badass that can handle anything life throws at you? Encountering these moments allows you the opportunity to recalibrate and move accordingly in a way that best serves you. Prioritizing yourself will always be the ultimate success, and when you continue to do that, the setbacks that pop up in your life on a summer Friday will go from “screw this” to “I got this.”
